Teleportation of Simple Life Forms for Medical Purposes

The medical condition of any biological cell, including DNA, can be described as a given state of software function that can be electronically exported. Optimal software operators can then be developed in vitro as medical treatments and teleported over the internet into the human body. These medical software operators, once applied on electronic circuits, use ambient matter to assemble inside the human body into simple living or biological medical forms. We are working on teleporting a virus of E. coli (5,386 base pairs) across the Atlantic as proof of concept of teleportation of life and something that will help to colonize other planets.

Condom for Africa

In Africa, many believe in the traditional power of juju amulets (bracelets, often made of elephant hair), to protect them from HIV / AIDS. There can also be a low estimation of the effectiveness of condoms. A condom developed in consultation with traditional healers could incorporate features of the amulet, such as a spell & a sliver of elephant hair (or alternative?) molded into the base ring. Such a culturally adapted product could prove more effective.

WalkMiles Meter

People who fly accumulate frequent flier miles, Shoppers accumulate Loyalty Points etc. I envision a Sports shoe/ Formal Shoe that will have a Meter to record the Miles walked. The technique is simple - convert the foot falls to miles ( simplified math formula) using a small electronic meter embedded on the sole with a display at the bottom. This will help you to monitor your activity level & feel Good about your healthy walking! Companies and Educational Institutions can buy these WalkMiles and reward with cash/ small gifts as a measure of encouragement. WalkMiles - WalkSmiles!

Improving survival rates from cardiac arrests using mobile phones

We have started a global project to empower the people to locate the nearest automated external defibrillators (AEDs) during emergencies. We are approaching 3000 AED locations worldwide, which is only the tip of the iceberg. It only takes one AED to save one life. We have developed phone apps to allow the public to locate the nearest public AEDs. iPhone users can download the free "AED Nearby" app, Android users the free "ShowNearby AED" app. More apps are being developed. Our methods will encourage those who are afraid to do CPR to participate in the chain of survival to save lives.

Diabetes Tribe: The self-responsible management team

Diabetics online help each other with daily challenges already. But what if they had incentives to work as a team to keep their collective health "score" strong? An online game or community would help people help themselves in an entertaining way. It could also help people train each other in solving key diabetic living problems -- or using technologies like the pump. As I envision it, the group would only "level up" if average scores were improving. Community leaders who contributed the most to others would get higher individual scores. The group would also include "guides" with clinical training.

Green Clinic

The goal is to rethink of tools and health services under a renewed system of requirements and proximity to environmental health issues. The Green Clinic is a service that answers to a wider definition of health modeled on specific needs of a neighborhood. A service that uses technology, but it can also be seen as a concrete point of contact where motivated individuals and professionals from different sectors (not only the medical one) can work together to make places and lifestyles healthy. Green Clinic rethinks of medical practice through the interdisciplinary activity, where, information, lifestyle and cities are the workplaces.

The Food Fight RTS Game (for Kids)

Become a food wizard. Track your meals and then watch ingredients throw down. Each food generates a virtual "fighter" (think minotaur, goblin, etc.) with specific attributes (hit/attach points) related to nutrition content. Use your (fully customizable) wizard avatar to launch the battle and cast spells/buffs for your team (the good food, obviously). If you win, get experience points + gold (buy loot for your castle). Trade loot with friends on-line or challenge their army (you keep your "fighters" that survive each battle)! Earn extra XP or gold with physical activity. Imagine "bottle cap codes" for celery.

Decoding the Riddle of Mental Illness

An overall communicational model of mental illness has conspicuously been lacking due to the daunting conceptual challenges at issue. As with many other such great enigmas, the solution often emerges from advances in a parallel field of inquiry – such as in Communications Theory. Indeed, a breakthrough in the understanding of affective (or emotionally charged) language has recently been proposed: wherein incorporating the communicational factors underlying mental illness within a general eight-part schematic depicted, where the grand total jumps to 408 individual terms (including 56 individual forms of mental illness).

Pepfly

Pepfly is built on the idea that brief experiences of positive emotion can have a powerful effect over time. Many of us already search the web for content to inspire us, make us laugh, or remind us of the beauty around us. Pepfly is a new way to find, save, share, and enjoy what moves us. Pepfly recognizes the words you use to describe emotions and make sense of them in psychological terms. It connects you to a piece of media that might work for you and finds patterns in your ratings so it can make better recommendations.

Wellth Exchange

The system is going to treat your health like a commodity - why not do the same? Build equity. Sell shares. Trade your wellth credits on the exchange. To incentivize healthy behavior, health-related organizations (HRO's) award individuals "credit" for doing certain things - whether making a purchase decision or maintaining specific behaviors. These credits can then be used in the marketplace to purchase products, get discounts on insurance, or be donated to others. Companies might be required to "purchase" health-offset credits if they want to sell "unhealthful" things or build a new development (health impact studies for all!).
